SUNY Corning Offers Some Help to First Time Students
If you are a student, or know of a student who is working towards their associate or bachelor’s degree, the SUNY Corning CC Pathways Scholars Award Program could offer some help.
The SUNY Pathways Scholars Award Program is able to help many students complete their two- and four-year plans, with non-tuition assistance.
Students could receive $500 to help with non-tuition related expenses in their first year, and an additional $250 at the end of the first semester, plus another $250 at the start of their second year.
If enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, the Pathways Scholars would receive an additional $1000 for non-tuition related expenses.
One of the added perks to the program includes career guidance and counseling and a program support network.
There are certain eligibility requirements that includes being New York State high school graduation with academic average of 80% or higher and a first time student full time in an associate degree programs at SUNY CCC.

According to the news release, SUNY Corning Community College is accepting applications for the program now through January 22, 2021 applicants will be notified of their acceptance prior to the spring 2021 semester.
