They have a term for that now and it's called "next day anxiety." I find myself laying down for the evening and thinking about the day. I contemplate what I could have done better and the things that were worrying me that turned out to be nothing. Most of the time, I worried for no good reason but that doesn't stop me from thinking about it.

There is a saying about not worrying about tomorrow because today has enough trouble of its own. I try to live by that but this pandemic and other circumstances in life have me worrying about tomorrow and the next day even before today is through.

Sometimes it lingers like a cold and I have trouble concentrating on what's in front of me now. I've even snapped at people that didn't deserve that from me. If "next day anxiety" is taking over your life, you need to stop.

I've stopped watching the national news and have limited my social media intake and that has helped immensely. However, I still have stress-filled dreams, sometimes it starts before I fall asleep.
