Despite the loss BU could still continue its season depending on whether it secures a bid to play in the Women's Basketball Invitational (WBI).  With 22 wins that is a strong possibility. Bids for the WBI will be announced on Monday, March 16. All games in the 16-team field are played at campus sites.  The tournament was designed to provide a competitive event for teams who had fine seasons but did not qualify for the NCAA Tournament.

In Binghamton's loss to Stony Brook Kai Moon and Olivia Ramil each scored 11 points. The Seawolves who have gotten points in Top-25 polls this season remain home and will host the Maine Black Bears this Friday at 5:00 PM for the America East Championship .  Friday's winner will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
