Mail Carriers Food Drive to Benefit CHOW On Saturday
Most of us keep the important dates stored in our phone. I haven't yet but I really should and when I do, this will be one of the dates, that I want to put in my phone for every year. It's the Stamp Out Hunger Donor Drive and it takes place the second Saturday in May.
Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive
The National Rural Letter Carriers' Association (NACL) is having their annual food drive this Saturday, (lucky) May 13th. You can help to Stamp Out Hunger and the best part is that your donation stays in our community.
Hopefully you got your Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive bag in the mail. If you didn't, that's okay because any bag will do. Just Fill a Bag with healthy, non-perishable food items and leave them by your mailbox for your letter carrier to pick up on Saturday.
Once again this year, the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse (CHOW) will be the beneficiary of your generous donation. We do a CHOW food drive every year in November but there is a need all year long. and they need you now MORE THAN EVER,
CHOW can use your help as more and more people are suffering food insecurity. You can also drop off your donation at CHOW, 3 Otseningo Street in Binghamton. If you are in need of food, call the CHOW Hotline below.

When you're out shopping this week, don't forget to pick up non-perishable food items like pasta, cereal, oatmeal and canned goods. It all helps but remember to avoid glass containers.
A big THANK YOU to all of the letter carriers for everything that you do and a huge "THANK YOU" for what you'll be doing on Saturday. My daughter, Tara and I will continue to do our part and we hope that you'll be able to help too.
