Binghamton Porch Fest: A Decade of Music, Community, and Celebration
As the Southern Tier summer winds toward its end this year, the heart of Binghamton's West Side will come to life with the much-anticipated Binghamton Porchfest.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the event, with the 9th annual celebration (one year was skipped over thanks to COVID-19) promising a day filled with music, community spirit, and festivities.
On Sunday, August 25th, from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., the streets of Binghamton’s West Side will come alive with the rhythm and melodies of local bands, artists, and performers, turning front porches into stages and the entire neighborhood into a vibrant musical tapestry.
Binghamton Porchfest promises an eclectic mix of genres sure to cater to every musical taste, showcasing the talents of the region's favorite homegrown bands and introducing emerging local artists to the community.
The event is designed to be fun for all ages, ensuring that kids and grownups alike will have a fantastic time basking in the music and soaking in the sense of community that permeates the festival.
The best part is that Binghamton Porchfest is absolutely free to attend, encouraging everyone to join in the festivities and experience the welcoming embrace of Binghamton's vibrant arts and culture scene.
Aspiring performers also have the opportunity to be a part of the event which gives local talents the chance to showcase their music and contribute to the jubilant ambiance. This year, signups are a little different and you can see what the new plan is here.
For additional details and the latest updates, interested individuals are encouraged to visit the official Binghamton Porch Fest website where they can find comprehensive information about the event, including performer lineups, venue locations, and any other relevant announcements.
