Great news for fitness fans! Mark your calendars for the ultimate test of strength and endurance because the 18th Annual Broome County Parks Triathlon is back.

The Broome County Parks Triathlon takes place on Saturday, June 29th, at Dorchester Park in Triangle, near Whitney Point. The triathlon kicks off at 9 a.m., so  fuel up and get those muscles ready for action.

Check this out -  there are three different race distances for you to choose from. Whether you're a terrific triathlete, a biking buff, or a running rockstar, there's a challenge made for you.

Registration is only $75 for the Triathlon, Duathlon, or Aqua Bike. Just remember, all participants have to be members of USA Triathlon, but if you aren't, you can easily sign up for a one-day membership. You can also round up your friends and register for a relay to conquer the course together.

So head over to RunSignUp.com by June 24th to secure your spot in the race of your choice. Here's the link: Broome County Parks Triathlon Registration. A portion of the proceeds will go toward the Broome County Parks Handicap Children’s Playground Fund which focuses on creating accessible playgrounds in parks.

Here are the distances for each race?

Triathlon: A 1/2-mile swim, followed by a 12-mile bike ride, and ending with a 3.1-mile run.

Aqua Bike: Dive into a 1/2-mile swim and conquer a 12-mile bike course.

Duathlon: Lace'em up for a 1.5-mile run, hop on your bike for 12 miles, and finish with a 3.1-mile run.

Whether you're trying to win a triathlon finisher's medal, dominate the bike course, or are ready to crush the run, there's a race calling your name.

12 Of New York State's Most Wanted Criminals- July 2024

Below are individuals wanted by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision's (DOCCS) Office of Special Investigations who have been designated as its Most Wanted Fugitives. They should be considered armed and dangerous. This list is current as of 7/01/2024:

NEVER attempt to apprehend a fugitive yourself. If you have information on the location of any of these fugitives, you can contact OSI 24 hours a day / 7 days a week to report it. All leads and tips are treated as confidential information.
