The Southern Tier community is coming together to support Jared Martin, who was recently involved in a serious work-related accident and is now recovering at Strong Memorial Hospital. According to family and friends, Jared faces a long recovery, and local residents are stepping up to help a man who has spent years stepping up for others.

A Community Helper Who Never Hesitates to Serve

Jared is well known throughout the region for his volunteer work with the Newark Valley Fire Department and for serving as a driver with Maine EMS. He has also helped countless residents through his tree and towing work, often refusing payment and offering his time simply because someone needed assistance. Those who know him describe him as the first to show up in a crisis and the kind of person who would give anything he had if it meant helping someone else.

Local Residents Mobilize to Support the Martin Family

The impact of Jared's accident has been deeply felt throughout the area. While his family remains by his side during his recovery, community members have organized a benefit to help ease the financial strain that comes with long-term medical care. Supporters say this is an opportunity to give back to someone who has freely given so much.
