Sherburne New York sure has a lot to be proud of.  And this Saturday, they are showing how rich the town is in art as they present the 4th Annual Sherburne Arts Festival from 10 am to 4 pm at Gaines Park.

The park is located on East State Street, next to the Sherburne Public Library and will  feature dozens of artisans and crafters as well as live music and food and drink vendors. The festival has been sponsored by the Sherburne Public Library since 2012. The event represents a revival of the original community art fair in Sherburne, which began in 1947.

This year’s featured artist will be the late Henry Grant Plumb (1847-1930), a Sherburne native who gained celebrity in the United States and Europe for his paintings.

No need to worry about rain. The festival takes place outdoors, but all exhibits are located under rain-proof tents.

Kids will enjoy the interactive art tent, an exhibit by Sherburne-Earlville Central School art students, and a special educational reptile exhibit by “Dan The Snake Man.” Cash prizes for participating artists will be awarded, including a $100 People's Choice Artist Prize and a $100 People's Choice Crafter Prize.

Rich in tradition and packed with creativity and fun, the Sherburne Arts and Crafts festival is one family-friendly event you should not miss.
