32-year-old Zeke Wilmarth is to serve 15 years after pleading guilty to attempted murder for stabbing a 34-year-old woman repeatedly wit a knife, intending to kill her on July 11 of last year in Vestal.
Wilmarth entered the guilty plea last march to charges of Attempted Murder, Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Assault and Strangulation.
According to prosecutors, Wilmarth admitted attacking his girlfriend during a dispute at an apartment house on Garden Lane in the Castle Gardens region.
Vestal Police were called at around 5:40 p.m. July 11 for a reported domestic incident and found a woman at the apartment house with multiple stab wounds and other injuries.
She told police her attacker was in another part of the building.
She was sent to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
