The Broome County Senior Centers have plans to help make the holidays brighter this year.  According to information from the County Executive's Office and the Office for Aging celebrations begin on Wednesday, December 18 and Thursday, December 19 at 11 AM.

Eight Senior Centers will hold a Holiday Luncheon for those 60 plus and their guests of any age.  Contributions per person of $4.25 will be requested.  Others can dine for $5.25 each.  No one 60 plus and their guests will be denied if they are not able to pay.

Seven Senior Centers will hold their holiday meals on Wednesday, December 18 while the Deposit Senior Center will hold their holiday luncheon on Thursday, December 19.  Items on the holiday menu will consist of roast beef and gravy, various side dishes plus strawberry shortcake for dessert.

In addition to holiday meals some of the Senior Centers will feature entertainment with musicians and vocalists to highlight the holiday season. Anyone who plans to attend needs to contact the Senior Center they plan to visit by noon, Tuesday, December 17.
