May is here and the weather is getting nicer. Are you looking for something to do on Saturday?  How about enjoying some fresh air while talking a walk on the wild side with the Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park...sort of.

It's the 6th Annual Run Wild 5K Run/Walk to benefit the Binghamton Zoo and it's happening this Saturday, May 4th, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Vestal Coal House. This is a USATF certified 5K on the Vestal Rail Trail.

Two Zoo Mobiles and educational displays will be on the course and you can visit the animals during and after the 5K Run/Walk. There will be medals given out to overall and age group winners. Stick around for a free kids run after the 5K is over. Go here to register now.

Speaking of the Binghamton Zoo, don't forget that next weekend is Mother's Day. Treat your Mom/Mother/Masquaw to a lovely day of fun with FREE admission for all moms.

The zoo is now open 7 days a week from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the gates closing at 4 p.m. Summer hours begin on May 11th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the gates closing at 5 p.m.

America's 5th oldest zoo is located at 60 Morgan Road.
