Ross Park Zoo is Re-Opening and We Have the Details
Phase 4 for the Southern Tier begins on Friday and yesterday we learned that malls, gyms, bowling alleys, and movie theaters will not be allowed to be reopened. So what does that mean for Ross Park Zoo?
Good news, they are reopening and we have the details. Ross Park Zoo is opening for members only from June 29th to July 1st. The zoo will welcome the general public beginning on July 2nd.
If you have a Ross Park Zoo membership that expires on or before June 30th, it'll automatically be extended for 3 months. Admission will be offered at a reduced rate of only $7 per person until all areas of the zoo are reopened.
Unfortunately, the African Waters, New World Tropics, red-necked wallaby, Wolf Woods (wolves visible on the upper path), and Arctic fox will not be visible until a later date.
Anyone over the age of 2 will be required to bring and wear a mask or face covering. Additional hand sanitizer dispensers have been added throughout the zoo. Social distancing is encouraged between visitor groups and you are asked to follow a linear path through the zoo.
The zoo will allow admission from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the zoo closing at 5 p.m. America's 5th oldest zoo is located at 60 Morgan Road in Binghamton and they can't wait to see you.
