You may remember in June that twin Red Panda Cubs were born at the Binghamton Zoo. Today we have learned that Red Panda Cub B has passed away.

Last week, she was seen by the Cornell Exotics Department after she had trouble breathing. Diagnostics were performed and a treatment plan was made but by the weekend, it was apparent that she was failing and not improving.

The Binghamton Zoo made the difficult decision to humanely euthanize Cub B over the weekend. She was not here for very long but she made a huge impact on staff and visitors alike.

The Binghamton Zoo wants to thank the community for their support, along with zoo veterinarian Dr. Aly Cohen and the Exotics Department at Cornell University for their help with the care of Cub B.

They will continue with the naming process for male Cub A on Tuesday. The Binghamton Zoo is located at 60 Morgan Road in Binghamton.
