President’s Day Fun Facts
Today is President's Day or as I like to call it, 'National Check the Mailbox for No Reason Day'. Here are 5 fun (and mostly true) facts about our Presidents! I never understood why they're called 'fun', but here you go.
John Quincy Adams liked to swim nude in the Potomac River. I don't find that 'fun' at all, more like creepy.
Franklin D. Roosevelt at his 1st Inaugural Address said, "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself." What you don't know is the original draft was "The only thing we have to fear is phobias."
Calvin Coolidge liked having his head rubbed while he ate breakfast in bed. Traci asked me if that was really true...I don't know because I wasn't the one rubbing his head.
Richard Nixon said, "A man is not finished when he is defeated. Let's ask Tom Brady if this is true after he lost to Philadelphia.
The Bushes are related to Marilyn Monroe, Benedict Arnold and Winston Churchill. That fact is actually fun!
If you're lucky enough to get the day off, enjoy and happy 'Furniture and Mattress on Sale Day' to one and all.
