Parade Day is this Saturday in downtown Binghamton, but for many, the fun actually kicks off on Friday night.

Many people in and around the Southern Tier turn Parade Day into an entire weekend of celebrating and if you're looking for something to do to kick off the fun, why not make it something that helps others at the same time?

The Retired Professional Fire Fighters Cancer Fund Inc. is a non-profit organization and they're committed to raising funds for cancer research programs. For the past several years, they've thrown a big pre-parade party for cancer research and this year will be no different.

The pre-parade party will happen at the Holiday Inn Binghamton Ballroom this Friday, March 3rd, from 6pm-11pm.

Admission is $20 per person and includes draft beer and entertainment from The Edward P. Maloney Memorial Pipe Band, The Carle School of Irish Dance, and BC Celtic Pipe and Drum.

All proceeds will benefit cancer research.
