A Broome County man faces felony charges after he allegedly smashed his vehicle into another on the George F. Highway in Endwell.

Authorities say 47-year-old Carlos Vazquez of Binghamton was found by a state police investigator at his Florence Street residence a few days after the incident.

Police were called on October 17 to check into a reported hit-and-run crash. An investigation determined Vazquez had violated an order of protection and followed a person in a vehicle through parts of Broome County.

Vazquez is said to have intentionally struck the other vehicle three times on the George F. Highway before driving off.

Vazquez was charged with reckless endangerment and criminal contempt.

A state police news release did not indicate whether anyone was injured as a result of the vehicle collisions.
