New York State Police are investigating the death of a pedestrian after the person apparently jumped in front of a moving vehicle on the George F. Highway between Westover and Endwell on November 6.

Emergency Services sources say a couple was driving westbound just before the Watson Boulevard crossover at 10:24 p.m. when the pedestrian jumped in front of their vehicle and was killed.

State police, as of early November 8 had not released any information concerning their investigation. It’s not clear if more than one vehicle may have been involved and there has been no indication that any charges would be filed.

Several emergency response crews were at the scene for several hours on Saturday night and a portion of the road was closed as the investigation was underway.
