According to the Pennsylvania Department of Health, there have been 1,550 deaths in the state associated with the novel coronavirus pandemic.

According to the report April 26, 1,116 new positive cases brings the Keystone State's total of COVID-19 cases to 41,165.

Health officials have said the actual number may be much higher since many people have gone untested as some people can be infected and not exhibit symptoms.

According to the county-by-county breakdown Sunday, in the Northern Tier Bradford County had 28 confirmed cases and 2 deaths, Susquehanna County 79 positive cases and 4 deaths and 92 cases, 3 deaths in Wayne County.

Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine says people should not expect a quick return to life the way it was before the pandemic.  She also said it's too soon even to predict whether social distancing will continue into the summer.

Governor Tom Wolf has said some construction projects would be allowed to start as of Friday, May 1 with social distancing and sanitizing regulations.
