The husband of a Binghamton woman fatally shot during a convenience store robbery says one of the men convicted in the case has not been granted parole.

Thomas Marlowe drove the getaway car after 22-year-old Christine Kamide was killed at an East Side convenience store in 1982. He also was the getaway driver following a similar convenience store killing in Afton five days earlier.

Paul Kamide advised WNBF News he found out Monday afternoon that Marlowe's parole request had been denied. In an email, Kamide wrote: "Justice has been served for two more years."

Marlowe is being held at Great Meadow Correctional Facility in Washington County. He is serving a sentence for murder, robbery and perjury.

Kamide and his son, Paul Kamide Jr., spoke against Marlowe's parole during a live interview on WNBF Radio's Binghamton Now program two weeks ago.

Herman Neu, the man who killed Kamide and Chenango County store clerk James Wilcox, is being held in Mohawk Correctional Facility in Oneida County. He is to become eligible for parole in February 2033.

LISTEN to Paul Kamide and his son discuss the possibility that Thomas Marlowe could be released from prison in this Binghamton Now interview from May 7, 2018.
