Summer may be over but there is still a lot going on with the Binghamton Zoo including Howloween  and Boo at the Zoo in October. But before that is something brand new, it's the Pages for Penguins Used Book Sale.

It'll happen in their old gift shop building on Saturday, September 30th from 10 am to 2 pm and is hosted by their "Green Team." The team finds ways to make their facility "greener."

All the money raised from this event will be donated to their "Round Up for Conservation" recipient for this year, which is the Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds (SANCCOB).

SANCCOB’s is trying reverse the decline of seabird populations through the rescue, rehabilitation and release of ill, injured, abandoned and oiled seabirds, especially endangered species like the African penguin.

You can find out more about SANCCOB and other Binghamton Zoo conservation projects here. The admissions booth is open everyday from 10 am to 4 pm with the zoo closing at 5 pm and is located at 60 Morgan Road in Binghamton.
