Pennsylvania is planning to spend $11.4 billion on state highway and bridge projects over the next dozen years.

The Pennsylvania Transportation has updated its 12-Year Transportation Program outline with an anticipation of$ 64.8 billion being available for roads, bridges, transit systems, airports and roads. 

The largest allocations are the $11.4 billion for highways and bridges followed by $9.4 billion for public transit.  $321 million is expected to be spent on multimodal projects, $228 million for rail freight and $138 million for aviation.

Transportation officials are also looking back on come completed plans over the past two years like becoming REAL-ID compliant and dealing with the impacts of the COVID-19 on transportation over the past several months.
