Today my son Devon and 32 students from Owego Free Academy (OFA) are going for a Guinness world record. They are going for the world record for the world's longest Wiffleball game.

The current record is 25 hours. They hope to go for 30 hours. It begins today (6/22) at noon and they hope to go till 6pm on Thursday the 23rd.

I want to give a big shout out to my nephew, Dominick Matarese. He's the one who put this event together.

He along with 31 other students from OFA and one from Chenango Valley (my son, Devon) will attempt this today and hope you'll stop by and cheer them on.

It's at the Davis field in Apalachin, just 4 miles up Pennsylvania Ave. There will be signs and the field is on the left.

People from Dick's Sporting Goods will be observing and it will be filmed. We hope that you'll come out to witness history.
