An Otsego County woman has been arrested in connection with the deaths of her twin infant children.

Authorities say 27-year-old Kimberly Steeley of Decatur has been charged with two counts of second-degree manslaughter.

Steeley was named in an indictment handed down by an Otsego County grand jury.
According to New York State Police, the arrest stemmed from an investigation launched last June into the deaths of Bonde and Liam Steeley.
Investigators on Monday announced that Steeley was arrested last Wednesday. She was arraigned in Otsego County Court and ordered held on $10,000 bail.
Steeley has been accused of "recklessly causing the death" of the children.
According to AllOtsego.com, District Attorney John Muehl said both infants died of asphyxiation. The children's deaths happened 11 days apart.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for June 3.
The investigation was conducted by the Otsego County Sheriff's Office and New York State Police.
