Cheers! New York Yankees Caught Chugging Beers And We’re Okay With That
Anyone that knows me, knows that Washington is the home of my favorite professional sports teams (Redskins, Capitals, and the Wizards). The only exception is the New York Yankees.

When I started to get into professional sports, Washington didn't have a professional baseball team, so I became a Yankee fan. When Montreal moved to Washington in 2005, I tried to become a fan but couldn't do it. It didn't help that the Nationals were really bad.
By Yankees standards, they haven't been doing very well. They've been making the playoffs but haven't won the World Series since 2009. The 2022 season may be the year that they turn things around.
The Yankees recently won 11 games in a row and have the best record in baseball. Their record is similar to the one they had in 1998 when they won 114 games. The Bronx Bombers would go on to win the World Series when they swept the San Diego Padres in four games.
That team won with great pitching, solid defense, and team speed. Yankee fans are starting to make the same comparison between the 1998 and 2022 teams. I know it's early in the season but these Yankees look like the real deal
Another attribute of the 1998 team was that they always seemed to enjoy what they were doing. In 2022, we are seeing a lot of the same things. Recently New Yankee Joey Gallo commented that this Yankees clubhouse is by far the best group that he's been associated with.
New York Yankees Players Chugging Beers At New York Rangers Game
Here's more proof. The Yankees were enjoying a day off on Thursday, May 5th and some of them were enjoying it more than others. It was Cinco De Mayo and Anthony Rizzo, Aaron Judge, and DJ LeMahieu decided to take in the New York Rangers playoff game against Pittsburgh.
The Rangers lost game 1 in triple overtime to the Penguins and needed to turn things around for game 2. So Rizzo, Judge, and LeMahieu did what they could for the team. They not only showed up to support them but they celebrated Cinco De Mayo by chugging a beer at the Mecca.
Apparently, it worked because the Rangers dominated game two by a 5-2 score to tie the series at one apiece. I even find myself cheering for the Rangers now...until they play the Caps in the next round.
