When we think of New York State, many of us think about all the entertainment that is available all around us. We don't have to travel far to find the things that bring us joy. But here's the question that many of us also have? Can we afford it?

Yes, we know that New York is the state is known for being a hub of entertainment, but a study by BetMGM has revealed some eye-opening results. It has showed us just how far our entertainment dollar can (or can't) go across the Empire State.

The people at BetMGM took a look at a lot of different factors like income levels, taxes, and the overall cost of living. After all was said and done, they ranked New York as the #5 lowest state when it comes to your entertainment dollar lasting.

Your entertainment dollar just doesn't go very far when we want to give ourselves a break from reality. Frankly, I'm not surprised that we didn't rank lower especially when you take into account what it costs to do ANYTHING in New York City.

Whether it's the expensive lifestyle in the Big Apple or the financial pressures that we feel throughout the state, we have to get creative with our budgets in order to really enjoy the entertainment scene.
