Guess who's breaking the bank in the NBA? If you guessed that it was the Los Angeles Lakers, then you would be wrong. It's none other than...the New York Knicks. Ok, I'm not really shocked by that either.

It's been 50 years since the New York Knickerbockers won the NBA championship, however they have finally snagged a title. The Knicks are the most expensive team to support in the entire league.

If you want to head to Madison Square Garden for a Knick's game, it's going to cost you $936.72. That's an increase of $292.94 in the last 10 years, talk about serious inflation. That's a 46% increase since 2012, compared to 42% increase for the other NBA teams in the same period of time.

This comes straight from US Betting Report and they created the Fan Cost Index to see how much it was going to cost to take a family of four to the world's most famous arena. It  includes the price of  four average-price tickets, two small draft beers, four small soft drinks, four regular-size hot dogs, parking for one hour (who does that), two game programs, and the two least-expensive adult-size adjustable caps.

The study was over a 10 year period from 2012 to 2022, to find out what teams have seen the biggest increase during that time. These results are from that time period, so I'm afraid to guess what'll it cost for the 2023-24 season at the Garden.

So did your favorite team do in the ranking? Here's the top (or is it bottom) ten list from cheapest to most expensive.

Ten Most Expensive NBA Teams To Support At Home

#10 Dallas Mavericks, #9 Milwaukee Bucks, #8 Sacramento Kings, #7 LA Clippers, #6 Houston Rockets, #5 Chicago Bulls, #4 Boston Celtics, #3 Los Angeles Lakers, #2 Golden State Warriors, and of course the New York Knicks come in at the #1 most expensive NBA team to go watch play.

See the full list with all of the teams here. The Knicks are finally #1 at something but I'm sure that's an honor they wish they didn't have.
