I think we all had the assumption that this year would go way differently. In January we all had expectations to make this year the best one yet. Some people were supposed to get married, others were supposed to walk across the graduation stage and accept their diploma. I don't know about you, but I had tons of vacations plans plus concerts and festivals that I had booked. However, due to the coronavirus all of our plans got turned upside down. Instead of having an epic year full of adventures, our reality has been working from home and not being able to leave the house without a face mask.

Quarantine has birthed lots of social media challenges. Most recently the “my plans ... 2020” meme has been going viral. According to NJ.com, this challenge is meant to show our expectations versus our reality of 2020. Through photos, social media users are illustrating just how much our lives have been turned upside down by this global pandemic. In short, our plans versus our current world.

Even Governor Phil Murphy has taken part in this challenge.

So what about you? What are some expectations and plans you had for this year that were tragically destroyed because of the coronavirus pandemic? Upload your meme to Twitter and be sure to tag as @945pst.
