If you're planning on seeing Miranda Lambert sometime this year, there is something she would like to ask of her fans that is very dear to her heart.

I know a lot of Hawk listeners will be making the Miranda journey this week to check out her show at Bethel Woods Center For The Arts this Thursday (May 19).  Once again, Miranda is asking her fans to help out local shelters in New York State, including one hand picked by Miranda, the Catskill Animal Rescue.  If you drop of suggested donation items by 7:30pm at the main gate, fans will be entered to win a meet and greet with Miranda Lambert and a ticket upgrade.

According to the press release, there is a suggested donation list of items needed and it's safe to assume, this would hold true for most other Miranda Lambert shows as well:

  • Pro Plan Dog Food (every shelter has it's preferred brand the animals are used to eating)
  • Non corn based dog foods
  • Cat Food (dry and canned or packaged)
  • Paper Towels
  • Kitty Litter
  • Bleach
  • Laundry Soap
  • Cat Carriers
  • Slip leashes
  • Kuranda Beds
  • Dog Bones, all types and sizes
  • Dog Biscuits
  • Cat Toys
  • Durable Dog Toys
  • Towels
  • Blankets
  • Shavings
  • Chain Link kennels
  • Flexi Leashes

Miranda never forgets her animal friends and she appreciates all the help her fans provide to help local shelters.  Together, tens of thousands of dollars have been made to help homeless animals.  The power of country music fans and Miranda Lambert is amazing.  Thanks you fans.
