It's BERNIE FEST and it's happening this weekend. It's an annual event to benefit the Alzheimer's Association in honor of Bernadine M. Tuthill. Bernadine (Bernie) was a wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many people.

Bernie first started showing symptoms of Lewey Body Dementia in 2010. After a five year fight, the disease took her life on February 28th, 2015.

The mission of BERNIE FEST is to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association in their quest for a cure against Alzheimer's. It's a family friendly event on Saturday, October 8th at the Downtown Quarterback, Washington Avenue in Endicott.

11 bands and 2 DJ's. The doors open at noon and will go until the last person is gone.

We all know someone whose life has been turned upside down because of this terrible disease, so stop and support the 2nd annual BERNIE FEST memorial benefit.

So hopefully in our lifetime, we can say we helped Alzheimer's forget it existed.
