Those brownies or that birthday cake may have to wait.  General Mills is has expanded its massive recall as more people are reportedly getting sick with serious E.coli symptoms.

According to Huffington Post, the total people who have gotten sick on Gold Medal flour and select Betty Crocker cake mixes and products is up to 46 with sickness reported in 21 states across the United States.  Most of the sickness comes from eating raw or uncooked batter.

In addition to Gold Medal, other names have been added to the list as they are manufactured by General Mills and they include: Wondra and Signature Kitchens.

Gold Medal and Betty Crocker are huge brands and are sold at stores throughout the Southern Tier and North East Pennsylvania.

E.coli bacteria symptoms include stomach cramps and diarrhea. The FDA recommends that consumers not eat raw cookie dough and to throw away packages of the flour and cake mixes mentioned.
