Make-A-Wish Golf Tournament to Feature Port Crane Boy
Okay guys, do you want to go golfing but your wife isn't so crazy about the idea? Here's a way that will guarantee she won't say no and you'll be helping out an awesome cause at the same time.
It's the 20th Annual "Nelcorp Make-A-Wish Open" happening on Monday, June 11th at Traditions at the Glen. This fundraiser was started by the families of Wish Kid Sean Shumaker 20 years ago.
Sean passed away in 2012 due to a brain tumor and this year Make-A-Wish will pay special tribute to his family for their years of support. You'll be able to play 18 holes of Captain and Crew golf and the Open will also include lunch, prizes, and a cocktail reception and dinner.
Registration begins at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at 12 p.m. If you want to participate, reservations need to be made by next Tuesday, June 5th. If you're not a golfer, but want to support this event, you can attend just the dinner for only $25.
Proceeds will benefit Make-A-Wish Central New York and help grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. This year the tournament will feature Wish Kid Kyan Kulan and Kyan's wish for a brand new camper came true in October 2017.
I know that I don't need a reason to go golfing but it's even better if it's for an event like this. Register or get more information here. Or, you can call (800) 846-9474.
