The Maggie Memorial Charity Golf Tournament to benefit the Children's Home of Wyoming Conference has been cancelled for this year.  The tournament was scheduled to take place on Friday, June 26 at Traditions at the Glen.  According to a press release from the Children's Home Maggie will be memorialized on that day in a new, socially distant way.

The tournament is in memory of Maggie, the mother of Union-Endicott football great Isaiah Kacyvenski who went on to star at Harvard and the National Football League including an appearance in the Super Bowl.  Maggie spent part of her youth growing up at the Children's Home. Isaiah and his family and friends established the golf tournament in memory of Maggie to benefit the many programs provided by the Children's Home of Wyoming Conference.

The was to be the 15th annual golf tournament which has raised tens of thousands of dollars to benefit the Children's Home. Isaiah's contacts from the sports world brought in many star athletes and celebrities to golf and take part in the festivities.

The Children's Home of Wyoming Conference is based at 1182 Chenango Street in Binghamton.  On May 12 of this year the Children's Home announced that it had finalized the purchase of the Boys and Girls Club of Western Broome in Endicott.  The building became available prior to the COVID-19 pandemic and the purchase was finalized in May.
