You're bored and looking for something to do. You want to enjoy the great outdoors but you wouldn't mind making a little money while doing it. I have a question for you. Are you a lifeguard or want to be one?

If you said yes, then the Broome County Parks,Recreation and Youth Services is looking for you. They are hiring lifeguards to work at Greenwood Park in Lisle, Dorchester Park in Whitney Point and Nathaniel Cole Park in the Town of Colesville.

The Broome County Parks Department is taking applications for certified waterfront lifeguards and you must be at least 16 years of age. No training...no problem. Lifeguard training is available through the YMCA of Broome County. Go here to get more information about becoming a lifeguard.

This is a great way to get some fresh air, meet new people and make money at the same time. It's a win-win-win.

There are other positions available besides being a lifeguard with the Broome County Parks Department. They also have openings for attendants and laborers. For more info or to get an application for any of these positions, call (607) 778-2193.
