Broome County Parks Winterfest: A Fun-Filled Winter Event For All Ages
It's that time of year when winter fun returns with the Broome County Parks Winterfest, brought to you by the Broome County Parks.
Save the date for Saturday, February 10th and get ready to head to Nathaniel Cole Park in Colesville for the coolest event in town. Rise and shine and grab your fishing gear as the day begins with their awesome fishing derby.
Registration starts at 7 a.m., and at 8 a.m., it's go time! It's your chance to show-off your fishing skills as you compete with your fellow anglers with weigh-ins starting at 2 p.m.
It's a non-stop party with many family-fun activities from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and best of all, it's all FREE of charge! Kids, get ready to have a blast with awesome games and activities made just for you.
Grab your sleds and brave the slopes for some epic sledding action. Zoom down the hills until you've had enough, then warm up by the bonfires with s'mores and hot chocolate. But wait there's more.
You can try snowshoeing along the amazing trails at Nathaniel Cole Park. Snowmobile fans, you won't want to miss the B.C. Sno Riders Snowmobile Club display, where you can check out these mean machines up close.
Rowdy From the Rumble Ponies Makes an Appearance BC Parks Winterfest
Rowdy, the lovable mascot from the Rumble ponies will be making a special guest appearance too. Snap some selfies and show off your mascot dance moves. If you're down for a little nature exploration, join the guided walks led by the Cornell Cooperative Extension. It's a chance to learn about the local environment and discover hidden wonders along the way.
This is an outdoor event so dress warmly because Mother Nature might be nippy. Layer up, bundle up, and come prepared to embrace the chilly vibes.
