Sunday turned out to be a weather surprise and I took full advantage of it by taking a unplanned visit to one of my favorite parks, Chenango Valley State Park in Port Crane.  Since it "off season," there is no park admission fee, no life guards, no concessions, just the natural beauty of State Park.

When I arrived, they were draining the fresh water in the beach area and it was a spectacular site.  I assume they started the process mid to late week and by Sunday afternoon it was still doing it's thing. It appears that there were a few more days to enjoy the sounds of soothing natural streams and water splashing on the rocks and sand.

With the weather forecast sounding pretty mild this week, there is still a chance to experience one of this area's most beautiful parks in your shorts and short sleeve shirt.
