Authorities are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in front of a Town of Dickinson home.

Someone called 911 around 7:10 a.m. Tuesday to report a person was down in front of 41 Downs Avenue.

A Broome County sheriff's deputy arrived at the scene and confirmed the man was dead.

Investigators identified the man as 41-year-old Jared Ewing of Carhart Avenue, Johnson City.

An autopsy is to be performed Wednesday. Officials said there were no immediate indications of foul play in connection with Ewing's death.

A section of the heavily-traveled Downs Avenue between Francis and Merrill streets was closed for about two hours while detectives processed the scene.

The Binghamton police crime scene unit assisted sheriff's office investigators on Downs Avenue.
