Village Police say they encountered Shayne Soboleski acting suspiciously at the U-Haul storage facility on Field Street March 19 and found meth-making materials and lab equipment. Soboleski was also found in possession of Suboxone.

He charged with felony illegal manufacture of meth, felony unlawful manufacture of meth with a prior conviction and misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance.

The Johnson City Narcotics Unit and the New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team responded to remove the dangerous items used to manufacture methamphetamine.

Due to restrictions during the COVID-19 outbreak and the new bail reform laws, Soboleski was released to appear in court at a later date.
