Pasquale’s in Binghamton to Reopen – With a Few New Twists

There's good news for people who have missed Pasquale's Deli on Binghamton's East Side since the iconic business closed two months ago.

A city restaurant operator has revealed plans to reopen the place and bring back some of its most-beloved offerings.

Jesus Clarke told WNBF News he's excited to have the opportunity to bring Pasquale's back to life. The deli had operated at 180 Broad Avenue for decades until it was suddenly shut down in late October.

Clarke has operated Big Zues Barbecue on Chenango Street in downtown Binghamton for just over two years.

There was an immediate outpouring from loyal customers of Pasquale's Deli, lamenting the loss of one of their favorite places.

Clarke said he and his team are looking forward to continuing the legacy started by the Pasquale family.

The new operation will be called Pasquale's Soup & Sandwich Shop with a new menu that will feature some of the deli's most popular items.

Clarke said the "sausage will stay the same" using the original recipe and produced by the same contract packager. He plans to offer traditional Pasquale's favorites like spiedies and the Grampwich.

The new menu will have something of a "more modern twist" including paninis and two daily soup offerings. Clarke said online ordering and delivery will be available.

Operating hours for the new Pasquale's haven't been finalized but Clarke said it's likely the place will be open weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Clarke said he hopes to have Pasquale's Soup and Sandwich Shop "up and running" by January 22.
