I was totally kidding the other day when I told my husband that I wanted to break out the Christmas decoration bins and go to town on our house. I don't even have words to express the mortified look that spread over Jay's face when I said that!

I love Christmastime and I love the cozy feel our house has when it’s decked out in glittering lights and Christmas decor, but as much as I wish it could be Christmas every day, it can’t. Christmas decorations come out on Black Friday, but never sooner. In my house, we observe one holiday at a time.

I’m sure as you’ve been out shopping, you’ve noticed Christmas decorations have been put up. They were put up before summer was even over and I don’t know about you, but even as a huge lover of Christmas, I’m not a fan of the holidays being rushed.

It didn’t bother me so much before my son was born, but now that my little boy is growing up much faster than I’d like, I so much more aware of how quickly time goes by.

CreditCards.com asked people if they thought it was annoying that stores have already decorated for Christmas. 73% of people said they do. Only 21% of people didn’t mind.

People were also asked when stores should start putting out Christmas stuff and 52% of people said they thought sometime around Thanksgiving made the most sense. Only 3% of people said stores should start prepping for Christmas around Labor Day.

What do you think?
