City of Binghamton Police Patrols responded to 111 Eldredge Street for a 911 call concerning a reported dispute with injuries.  Police found an unresponsive male with apparent stab wounds laying on the sidewalk area outside of the location.  EMS personnel were called and it was determined the male was deceased.

In a press release issued by Binghamton Police the male victim has been identified as James Sellers, age 55 from Binghamton.  According to police their investigation led to the arrest of 30 year-old Shalace Williams.  Williams is 30 years of age and a resident of 111 Eldredge Street, Apartment 1 in Binghamton.

Police located Williams at the scene and transported her to Police Headquarters for questioning.  Police determined that the victim and Williams were involved in an ongoing domestic relationship and that a dispute between them resulted in the stabbing. Portions of Eldredge and Emmett Streets were blocked off for a period of time while police examined the crime scene.

Williams was taken to Binghamton Police Headquarters and was to be arraigned on the charge of Murder in the Second Degree, a Class A-1 Felony Offense.  Police say no other suspects are being sought in the incident.
