Tell your significant other that you have to go to this Saturday's Binghamton Harvest Fest to drink beer because it's good for your health.  Well actually that would be the truth.  According to Men's Health magazine, "beer could safeguard your heart, boost your immunity, protect your bones, and more."

Italian researchers have found that moderate beer drinkers had a 42 percent lower risk of heart disease compared to non-drinkers. Moderate means, try to keep it to a pint or so a day.

While drinking wine has traditionally always grabbed the health headlines, it turns out that drinking beer has some other great benefits.

The list of health benefits is quite impressive.  There is some research that claims, moderate beer drinking can help prevent type 2 diabetes, lower your blood pressure, lowers your risk of kidney stones, can help stop cataracts from forming in your eyes and even strengthen your bones.
