Young and old alike will love all that Greene has to offer with their Hometown Holiday Weekend, which kicks off this evening and runs through Sunday afternoon. So bundle up and get out and make some new holiday memories!

Here’s the schedule of events for Greene’s Hometown Holiday Weekend 2013:

Friday December 6th-

6pm- Gather at Memorial Park near the Christmas tree. From there,stroll down Genesee Street singing carols with seasoned singers.

6:30pm Mayor Phil Brown will illuminate the Christmas tree.
6:45 pm Hot cocoa and cookies will be served immediately in The Sherwood Hotel, lower level, along with the announcing of a raffle to participants and the winners of the two 20” bicycles. 7pm - Zion Episcopal Church presents Community Christmas Collections.

Saturday December 7th-
8am–10am –“Breakfast With Santa” at the First Congregational Church. Decorating the Social Hall, photo opportunities with Santa (bring your own camera). Free-will donations accepted for Greene Rotary Christmas Baskets & Habitat for Humanity.
10am-1pm –Christmas Craft Day at Central Baptist Church. Kids 3+ accompanied by an adult. Crafts, games, story time, frost and decorate cupcakes, door prizes and lunch. Free event. Donations graciously accepted for Greene Food Pantry.
11am–2pm - Make & Take crafts for children with Santa at the Moore Memorial Library.
11am–2pm - Horse and Wagon Rides – Hot chocolate and Hot Cider served outside the library
11am–12pm – Snow Flake Art custom cut by Jim Baldwin at the Moore Memorial Library.
12pm-3pm– Running for a Reason bowling with Santa $5– Greene Bowlodrome
1pm–2pm– Snow Flake Art custom cut by Jim Baldwin at The Sherwood Hotel Sunday December 8th-

Sunday December 8th-
12pm–2pm- Santa will be in his cottage
