Get to Know Leah Turner [VIDEO]

Give me a country singer with a slightly gritty voice and I fall in love with their music.  This morning when I announced the awesome lineup for the HAWK's 'Taste of Country Music Festival,' Leah Turner was a name I was not too familiar with.

Glenn, Traci and I got all excited with Leah's sound.  On her debut video "Give Me Your Keys," she soars high on the HAWK likeability meter. I'm a sucker for the mandolin and this debut song from Leah has plenty of that to love.

Leah is a California girl who started singing on her family's ranch at the age of six.  She attended songwriting classes at the University of California.  This natural beauty will wow the audience at this year's 'Taste of Country Music Festival' at Hunter Mountain.

What of the things I love most about this 3-day music festival is you get a great mix:  legends (Hank Williams, Jr.), superb entertainers (Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, Craig Morgan), hot new chart toppers (Brantley Gilbert, Randy Houser, Thompson Square, Charlie Worsham, Thomas Rhett, Tyler Farr) and exciting new faces (Leah Turner, Chase Rice, Jamie Lynn Spears, Blackjack Billy).  It truly is the ultimate country music smorgasbord!

Let me introduce you to Leah and see if you don't agree that she "has it."
