Country music legend George Strait will be packing his tour bus for the last time.

The 60 year old singer held a press conference at Nashville's Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum to announce his final tour that will include 20 dates in 2013, then 20 more in 2014 with The Cowboy Rides Away tour.  He was quick to add that he would continue to record music and occasionally make live performances.

I've seen George in concert many times over the years, both in Nashville and at various fairs throughout the Northeast.  I was actually granted a rare interview with the Country Music Hall of Fame member a number of years ago where we discussed his love for Texas Swing and Bob Wills.  A very nice man, a musical giant and an inspiration to countless country music entertainers.  I'm just happy he'll still be recording because I can't picture country music without George Strait.
