One month ago, Garth Brooks was named the 2016 CMA Entertainer of the Year.  Country Countdown USA's Lon Helton asked Garth, What did you figure the odds were?  Garth replied, "The fact that someone that wasn't on a major label had never won it, I didn't think our odds were very good.  We haven't slept since, we've just been celebrating.  But the first time we won the award was in 1991, the 25th anniversary.  So 25 years later, to win it again, it was a pretty sweet night."

Sunday night from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Garth co-hosts 'Country Countdown USA' and will talk about his new album 'Gunslinger,' ---that includes a new all-star version of 'Friends In Low Places,' his new duets album with Trisha Yearwood and his box set, available at Target, that debuted at #1 last week.  No doubt Garth's Facebook exchange with Carrie Underwood's husband Mike Fisher will come up in conversation too!

When Keith Urban was Lon's co-host, he said he'd received a Jeep as a gift from Garth for appearing on the song.  We'll find out the story behind that, his Christmas traditions with Trisha and family, and what benefit show Garth in looking forward to playing.

Garth also has great stories this week about Blake Shelton, Chris Young, Lee Brice, Jason Aldean, and Florida Georgia Line.
