There are many things that help get us in the holiday spirit each year. It could be the family and friend gatherings, maybe the office holiday party, outdoor decorations, indoor decorations, holiday music, or one of many other reasons that may trigger your holiday spirit.

While many of the above things I mentioned can trigger my holiday spirit, I think the biggest factor is the holiday movies I watch in the weeks leading up to Christmas. I tend to rely on ones that have been around for a while. Newer Christmas movies bring me little interest. Although I have enjoyed some newer entries like 'A Bad Mom's Christmas', 'Office Christmas Party' and 'The Christmas Chronicles.' They weren't bad, but not in my top 10 by any means.

I have listed 10 of my favorites below, but I can't really rate them from 1 to 10 since there's not one I prefer over the other. They are just my favorite 10. Some of my selections may cause you to wonder what the hell I'm thinking, but hey, I like them and that's all that matters.

I will watch these movies over again and again, although I don't always watch all 10 every year. It depends on what mood I'm in. And I have a few honorable mention Christmas movies. They include 'The Miracle on 34th Street', 'It's A  Wonderful Life, 'The Nightmare Before Christmas', and 'A Christmas Story.'

Although to be honest, I've never seen 'A Christmas Story' in its entirety from beginning to end. It's always on TV when I visit my family in Western New York, and I catch a few scenes, but I've never watched the whole movie in one sitting.

Anyway, here's my Top 10 favorite Christmas Movies. Merry Christmas!
