St. Patrick's Day is on a Sunday this year (March 17th) and if you want to celebrate by having a date day, but aren't sure what to do, here are four ideas to get your creative wheels rolling!

    Go on a Pub Crawl

It might be cliché, but who cares? You don't have to go on an organized pub crawl, you can create your own by visiting one of our many Binghamton area Irish pubs. Just do yourself and the world a favor- if you're going to drink, DON'T drive. Call a cab, an Uber, a Lyft, or a friend, but do not get behind the wheel after drinking!

    Make Your Own Drinks

Who says you have to go out to have a good time? Did you know that you can make green beer yourself by adding blue food coloring to a light beer? It's true. Plus, if you enjoy some drinks at home, you won't have to worry about finding a ride, and you don't even have to get out of your pajamas. Double win!

    Cook an Irish Dinner

Cook up a stereotypical Irish feast of corned beef and cabbage or Shepherd's Pie.  And finish it off with an Irish coffee or Guinness cupcakes. Did I mention corned beef and cabbage? Yum- corned beef and cabbage is my favorite and you can see my almost (but let's be honest, not really) world famous recipe here.

    Watch an Irish-Themed Movie

Drop some food coloring into your beer (see # 2) and curl up on the couch with a movie like "The Departed" or "P.S., I Love You."
