We spring ahead an hour when we go to bed on Saturday night. That means that Spring is on the way, so what can we expect next? When it comes to the weather, many of us look towards the Farmers' Almanac.

They say that we might have to wait for the warm weather to arrive, especially if you are in the Midwest, Great Lakes, New England, or the Northeast. As we roll into April, there could be a late winter storm on the way for New York.

Get ready for rain, sleet, and snow hitting the Atlantic Seaboard and the mountain areas in the Southeast during the first week of the month. Looks like spring storms could be brewing, bringing showers and thunder to most areas.

If you're in the Southwest, it might be drier than usual this season. On the flip side, Texas and the South Central States are in for a warm and wet spring, with lots of thunderstorms on the radar.

In the northern and central areas, like New York, it looks like we'll be feeling cooler temperatures into June. However Southern States, can expect milder temperatures. Overall, get ready for a cool and stormy spring in most parts of the state, except for the Southeast and South Central regions.

Looking ahead to some spring events, get ready for some weather surprises. The Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta, Georgia might get some showers, but Patriots' Day in New England for the Boston Marathon is shaping up to be nice and clear.

For all the horse racing fans out there, expect a dry track for the Kentucky Derby, clear skies at Pimlico, Maryland for the Preakness, and sunny weather for the Belmont Stakes.

How about the Easter weather in New York State. As we approach Easter Sunday on April 20th, the Farmers' Almanac predicts good news for the Northeast. We can expect good weather for both Easter and Patriots' Day, making outdoor celebrations more enjoyable.

Whether you're planning an Easter egg hunt, a day at the races, or just enjoying the changing season, get ready for whatever Mother Nature throws our way this spring in the Empire State!
