When the Endicott Police Department responded to a residence in the Village, they discovered the body of a woman and they now believe her death to be suspicious.

Endicott Police arrived at 107 North Arthur Avenue in the Village of Endicott to investigate what they referred to in a statement as a “suspicious condition at the residence” and it was then that they discovered the body of 35-year-old Jessica R. Picciano.

Endicott Police said in a statement that an investigation has led them to believe that Picciano’s death is suspicious in nature and that they have a “person of interest” in custody.

The investigation into the death of Picciano continues and Endicott Police say they are receiving investigation support from the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Investigation Unit.

While the Endicott Police Department has no further information to share at this time, the Department is asking that anyone who may have information that can assist with the investigation into the death of Jessica Picciano to contact the Endicott Police Department Detective Division by calling 607-757-2479.
