Searching for Answers After Endicott Man Found Dead in South Carolina
It’s a curious and unsolved case – a Broome County man was found dead in York County, South Carolina a month ago and authorities are no closer to knowing what happened.
Even more curious is that the news of the death of a local man has seemingly only now, a month after he died, found its way to Broome County.
The York County Sheriff’s Office says that on Thursday, February 9, 2023, a man’s body was found on the side of the road by a driver who noticed the victim’s body about 20 feet from the roadway in the 2700 block of Doby’s Bridge Road in Fort Mill, South Carolina.
Officials identified the body as belonging to 55-year-old Michael Aaron Ingraham of Endicott and authorities said it appeared that Ingraham’s body had been there for a few days.
According to the York County Sheriff’s Office, Ingraham is not believed to have any family or acquaintances in York County, South Carolina or in the surrounding area. Although law enforcement does not believe Ingraham's death was an isolated incident, they would still like to learn what happened.
The York County Sheriff’s Office requested help from the public in early February when Ingraham’s body was discovered but so far, there have been no breaks in the case.
Authorities have once again brought the curious case of Ingraham’s death to the public with hopes of getting answers as to what happened to the Endicott man. Police are looking for information on where Ingraham was and what he was doing as far back as the beginning of January so that they can piece things together.
